What are messenger preview settings?

Messenger preview settings determine whether the Messenger's conversation panel displays the latest incoming reply or the latest message in a conversation, whether incoming or outgoing.

How can I change my messenger preview settings?

  1. Select your name in the bottom-left corner.

  2. Select My Preferences.

  3. Find the Messenger Settings section and click "Change Messenger Settings".

  4. Pick whether you'd like the Messenger to preview incoming messages ("Show Incoming Only") only or both incoming and outgoing ("Show Incoming and Outgoing").

  5. Click Save.

Note: Messenger preview settings are specific to each Admin or Manager and do not apply system-wide.

When would I want to use the "Show Incoming Only" option?

  • This is the default and recommended option. It allows you to preview the latest incoming message from an employee, making it easy to identify messages that may require your attention.

    Outgoing messages are excluded from the preview, which helps keep the view focused, especially if members of your team frequently send large message blasts.

  • Note: Message previews will be sorted from the most recent incoming message to oldest incoming message.

When would I want to use the "Show Incoming and Outgoing" option?

  • This option allows you to preview both incoming and outgoing messages in the Messenger conversation panel. Message previews are sorted by the most recent activity, whether the latest message was sent by an employee or a member of your team.

    This can be helpful if you want a complete view of the most recent conversation activity, including messages sent by your team.
